On March 6th, 5 students attended the Section Food Science contest in Bushnell, IL. At the contest, they designed and marketed a snack pack based on nutrition values and allergy concerns. They also identified multiple different aromas using sight and smell. The contest included a written test covering many different food safety topics and a team problem solving scenario. The contest provided students with a real world application of food science issues facing agriculturalists today.
